Title: Shout out to MacGeek's HT system
Post by: OldiesButGoodies on January 18, 2015, 08:21:57 AM
Not my system but Macgeek's...  Most of us make do with Audyssey to equalize the speakers.  Klaus goes through each speaker in his Mac 5.1 system with a real time audio analyzer and equalizes humps manually with a Mac (of course!) eq. And it sounds pretty dang flat and good, IMO!

wow, that sounds like a TON of work.  maybe once I have a real, permanent listening room, I'll have to do something like that.  MG, sounds like we need a geek meeting at your place!

BJ-it takes a few hours to do the system, but it's a set it and forget it thing.  The approach for the HT system is the same as for the two channel rig, but I tweak the HT a bit to "enhance" video (special effects and the like).

I am up for a Geek meeting.  I assume weekends are best-afternoons or evenings?

I will be there!

Actually, I am in your backyard now.  Let me in, it's cold!  O0
