Absolutely gorgeous example (8/10 agon scale), fully serviced, lamps and cleaned. Just to find out one channel on the phono board is bad.  I have too much going on, if some nice forum member wants a small project. $100, no shipping, pm me, thanks

I had one of those years ago when I was between wives.  I had the Pioneer SX-838 driving a pair of stacked white van speakers.  Just saying that receiver will make a pair of swimming pool speakers sound great!

I have four found on side of road Pioneer SX projects in my basement right now.   The 950 is the one I'm most optimistic about.   The 780 has the cool looking black meters though.

I always liked that series of receivers and the prior x2x line as well.  Metal knobs, two tape loops and a nice feel to the controls; nicely finished and illuminated.

Several things I could question about this post but will let my buddy Carl be...
