Little by little I need to start selling off all of my stereo stuff, except stuff that I'm borrowing from BJ or stuff that's mine that either one of my sons wants. At the moment I have the following for sale:
RTR decks:
TEAC A-1230 I bought new in the 70's. It's in great cosmetic condition and sounds great. Includes OEM factory dust cover in excellent condition.
Akai GX-370D Very good cosmetic condition and sounds great. Includes OEM hardwired remote and dust cover.
Turntables:
ReVox B795 linear tracking turntable. This is an awesome turntable. No IGD with this table. Quartz locked. Totally recapped by Tom and the cartridge carrier and power switch have been replaced.
JVC QL-F4 quartz locked table. Excellent in every way.
Phono cartridges:
all sound great
Stanton 681EEE-II-S
Empire 660EEE
Shure Premier
Interested? Let me know.
I haven't figured out how to post photos on here but I can email photos to anyone interested.

Hi PBJ and sorry to see you parting with some of your gear. I have always liked the European stuff, like your Revox 'table. Do you happen to have the cartridge alignment gauge to go with it? Set up is a major pia with out it

I'm fascinated to hear that a linear tracker needs a gauge. I thought that was kind of the point of linear tracking. I'll be watching with interest. (Sorry I'm not in the market for gear at the moment pbj).

MacGeek, Yes, I do have the complete cartridge mounting kit.

Hi PBJ, I've also started to downsize my hoard of "junk", been selling some stuff on ebay, and it's a PITA, but I don't want to deal with CL lowballers and strangers coming to my home. Good luck selling. Hope you are well.

I have mostly done the same. Unless a component gets regular listening, or is somehow otherwise special (I reacquired my original high school system), it's moving out the door. I am out of space and the vintage gear is a pain to maintain. I will buy/flip newer used and demo stuff for my primary rigs. Haven't bought anything of substance new for some time now.
Maybe I am actually more or less satisfied and just listening to the music.

Where's the "like" button?

As most of you know I've been battling stage 4 cancer for quite some time now. The chemo is horrible and makes it difficult to move around much. Naturally I'll hang on to anything I am still using or that my kids (especially bj) want. On a good day I'll listen to some vinyl otherwise it's tape, FM-HD (classical and jazz), or TIDAL HIFI. All my gear operates and sounds great. I just can't use it all anymore. And unfortunately my clock is winding down.

You have fought the good fight, pbj! I have seen how devastating it can be with my mom. I admire your courage and strength.

Thanks STaL. I'm not sure if I ever sent you my condolences when your mom passed so please accept them now. I don't spend much time on here anymore. I'm blessed to still have both of my parents who you have met. My dad is 91 and my mom is 90 now.

I like your parents very much. Your kid though...
(It's a joke. I kid because I love. )

Keep fighting PBJ and let the music heal your soul...

Thanks Kingman

Hello PBJ,
though I am not sure we've ever met at one of nicks swap meets, I feel like I know you through your posts and want to wish you the best as you bravely face the challenges with treatment . Keep that love light shining.
