Post by: MasterBlaster on November 24, 2009, 11:17:00 PM
If anyone wants to follow the site via rss, here's the url

http://www.vintagehifipgh.com/forum/index.php?action=.xml;type=rss2;limit=20

I'm not sure why the rss link isn't showing up anywhere, but I'm looking into it.

What is the advantage of the RSS Feed other than seeing the latest posts?

I use google reader to aggregate posts from blogs, forums etc
so I can see everything in one place.

Most mail apps have built in support for rss feeds too if thats your thing.
You can browse posts like email messages that way.

Firefox allows you to create "Live Bookmarks" which dynamically updates
as new posts are added.

In Firefox, There is an RSS icon that shows up in the location bar which you can click on to
create a live bookmark. I am accustomed to an RSS icon appearing on the page itself.
It just occurred to me now that you can get the rss info that way as well. duh.

Also if you're a smartphone user, most smartphones support some sort of RSS feed program, such as Vigo for example.
