2000 grit?  Wow.  I am happy to go to 400.  BTW, that's a nice MAC C-33 pre-amp in the customers home.  With the efficiency of the speakers, the monitor amp in the C-33 may be enough to power them with-out a separate power amp.

Nice job.  At  two sheets of MDF, plus 1/4 " plywood, I imagine the shelves can hold a significant load with out sagging

General Discussion / Legacy Focus speakers
« on: October 24, 2017, 07:28:18 PM »
Does anyone know the history of the Legacy Focus model speaker?  I am trying to identify the changes in the model line as improvements and updates were made.  Or said another way, since the line has been around for over 20 years, how far back in age/time is worth considering while still being contemporary

Welcome, Rowedscholar.  I am sure someone on this forum can either help with your turntable or direct you to someone who can.  That was a nice rig you had back in the day and I do remember Opus One (I worked about two blocks away in the Grant building at the time)

What type of music do you enjoy?

I always liked that series of receivers and the prior x2x line as well.  Metal knobs, two tape loops and a nice feel to the controls; nicely finished and illuminated.

One of you rtr guys need this tandberg, super cool. Great style, seamless integration of wood and metal.  A joystick control!  And if someone wouldve snagged it last night you could've burned me for some telefunken tubes. I didn't know it was a tube unit.

With only a couple of exceptions, that Tandberg was one of the finest machines of it's day.  I don't do tubes, or I would have been all over it.
