Very nice Mark!  FIOS and those Sony TVs are a great match!  You are livin' large!

I have used a projector for outdoor movie nights, but not day to day.   I am livin' large.

You should see Pepe's set-up.   It is a home theater.   I've just got a TV.

Nice, I have a set of the Athena Micra 6 as well. Picked them up off CL for cheap and use them briefly in my bedroom. The subwoofer is surprising for a little 8 incher!

You folks need to stop changing your names so often. It gets me all confused.

Adam - Pepe is OldiesButGoodies, i.e., me.    Will post my system tonight.

Those Sony Trinitron WEGA TVs were as good as the CRT era ever produced, IMO.

Yep, the picture really is fabulous.   We had to go CRT as Jerome likes to touch the screen and would quickly ruin an LCD.   Plus, even great CRTs got really cheap a couple years ago.

At 320 lbs, it will stay where it is until it dies.

Yeah, I have a small family room and had to go with wall mounted speakers.   They aren't great but are pretty good for what they are.   I sometimes find them a bit lacking when doing the quad audio thing, but hardly ever give them a second thought for TV or movies.   More than adequate for our needs.

Sony Trinitron WEGA KV-36XBR450
FIOS

All second hand.   Denon - $75 from OBG.   Oppo - $80 from CL.   Athena set $100 from CL, got $25 of it back selling the rear stands (I wall mounted).   Sony - $150 (you could get it for practically free now).

You forgot "Captain Tape Deek".   That was the one that inspired me to adopt "Sir Thrift a Lot" as my handle.
