I have a large monitor hooked to a swing arm and to the side of my bed.  I download movies to a computer from NetFlix there and often watch in bed, but they do stream to my big TV.
Some time back I hooked my portable system in.  I have better I could hook up, but this is so good - no need to change.

If you see one of these units somewhere - good buy as they work at home and you can take decent sound if you travel.
