Phono pre amp?
« on: February 18, 2011, 05:04:08 PM »
Here is the deal.  With my favorite integrated amp, my beloved Philips DFA-1000. It is a serious hi quality digital based amp.  It has awesome D/A converters, the coveted 1541 S2 crown..  Awesome!!!    However, it has no Phono built in.   So, i need an outboard phono pre. Any good ones on the cheap?   Under $200.00
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a cheap one you can have, but it needs work. The sound cuts out on one channel when you fiddle with the volume knob.
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.
