 I bought this recently and it needed a little TLC. After a new belt from Pioneer (Yeah, they still stock them) and a lube job, we are up and running. Pioneer RT-909 Reel To Reel

I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

 I have always wanted this particular R2R to match my Pioneer rig, but never thought I could afford it. I sort of lucked my way into owning this as part of a big audio score.
