Sansui SP-1500. Sound surprisingly nice
« on: February 20, 2011, 01:58:27 PM »
4 way, 5 speaker system with 12 inch woofer. 3 way tone control operates properly with no noise.  No foam to rot. I didn't expect much from these guys, but they sound very nice. Maybe not as solid on the bass side as my AR2-ax's but they hold their own with ab listening. They are solid and heavy. I think they look good too with the very vintage wood lattice grills. I got these from a retired DR's office where they sat in a waiting room for 40 or so years. No headbanging rock through these! The cabinets are very good with only a couple of minor dings and really no scratches. $125
