Repair of AudioSource sub plate amp...
« on: April 14, 2011, 11:18:44 AM »
Tom,
One of those 100 watt plate amps I was using blew a fuse and then when I replaced the fuse the amp just produces a hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...  (Does not blow fuse)  :)  Guessing it blew the transformer...

Do you think it might be an economical fix?  Any guesstimate of how much?  I may bring it down to the shop Friday evening...

thanks...
George

Outputs and a diode or two possibly.  It would run about $60-$70 to fix.

Tom,
did you have a chance to look at that small TV?  If so, results?  Fixed, cost, pitch, etc.?

as always, thanks,
George
