Grado F1+ stylus

(1/3) > >>

Slim-Shaddy:
So, I opened the door to my TT and saw that my son decided to play with my TT. In the process he destroyed a brand new record and broke the cantilever off of my stylus. I'm just wondering if anyone has a replacement Grado F1+ stylus they would consider selling. They are $85 online, but I figured I'd check to see if anyone has a slightly used one for a slightly lower price.
Thanks,
Ed

Sorry about your woe's, Ed!

Best price I could find on a replacement is no different http://www.lpgear.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=LG&Category_Code=GRA.

I do have a used Grado Green around here somewhere your more than welcome to, if you want it.
It will at least allow you to keep spinning till you get a replacement.

SunnyDaze:
The F1 is comparable to the "Silver" line in current production. I'm going to be ordering a replacement "Gold" stylus sooner than later. If you'd like my old "Blue" stylus, you're more than welcome. It's got some life left in it. I don't know if it'll work in that cartridge though.

Also, there's an Empire LTD 500 on the POS Numark TT at the shop which came off of my CS 604. If Tom will part with it, it's a more than capable budget cartridge.

Slim-Shaddy:
Hmmm. You got me thinking SD. Maybe I'll put a gold stylus in the f1+ body.... Think it will work? They all look the same.

SunnyDaze:
That's my question too, Ed.

Perhaps someone who is a bit more of a vinyl junkie than myself can help with this one.
