RCA jack plate

(1/3) > >>

Slim-Shaddy:
I want to retrofit a turntable with rca jacks and I need a jack plate. I would just drill holes in the wood chassis and mount the jacks there, but the wood is just over 1/4" thick and I can't find any jacks that will work. Anyway when I search for rca jack plates all I get are wall plates. Does anyone know if there is a company out there that manufactures jack plates that would work in my situation? If not, I'd love to hear recommendations on how to make my own.
Thanks,
Ed

Reverend:
I would just pick up some material that would work like a small piece of aluminum or wood or plastic.  Also, I have used these rca jacks in the past, they are surface mounted and very well made. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=092-232] http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=092-232

I was actually thinking about doing xlr type connectors as a plan B. I could then build my own xlr to rca cables.
