Looking to trade my Marantz 4230 for something smaller...
« on: March 25, 2012, 10:43:43 AM »
I would like to trade for a smaller preferably high end receiver or integrated-tuner combo.  The Marantz dimensions are 17 x 5 x14" deep.  I need something less than 14" deep so that I can use it in the family room shelf where I want to install some audio goodness.  If you have a decent compact hifi (NAD, Denon, etc.) that can drive my Paradigm Atoms let me know...

Thanks,

OBG

Absoutly my pleasure; every deal should be so easy.  I am looking forward to installing the Marantz and may even try quad-something I never did back in the day.
Mac stuff, Sony HDR-F1HD AM/FM/HD tuner, Denon DRS 810 cassette, Denon CDR-W1500 CD recorder, Music Hall MMF-9 w/B&O MMC2, B & O 4002 w/B & O 20 CL, Revox A-77

MacGeek - The NAD fit perfectly in the shelf inside the closet in the family room.  Have it driving a pair Paradigm Atoms,  sounds great  - thanks again! (the location of Atoms is less than ideal,  but it is a compromise with the boss -- she rules the family room)

It's sometimes a challenge keeping the boss and one's ears happy.  I think a number of us struggle with that (especially on the budget side for me).  I'm glad everything worked out.

Got the Marantz running.  Now I need to read to read the manual and figure out what all of the knobs do.
