Hello
« on: January 27, 2013, 01:23:27 PM »
Just getting back into vinyl. My brother has been collecting for years and got me interested again.

I picked up a Sony PS20 FB turntable and NEC Authentic Series set, Amp, Tuner and Cassette ( AUA AUT AUK 8000E ) From Innovative Audio Surrey BC Canada (neat shop)
Next was a Technics SL-P770CD player.
Got a pair of Akai CW 2700 Speakers at a thrift shop, dust covers punched in, but still sound good.
whole thing $500.00

Not bad as a entry setup into vintage gear.

Then we went to a used record store and tripled my record collection. Not as cheap as I thought ( but I just could not stop buying )

How Dee  ;D
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.
