Thanks Brian... Believe me, I beat Tom up on the whole KT88 vs KT120 question. Keeping in mind that my listening room is a tiny spare bedroom, the 120s were overkill (yes, some of you would argue I passed the overkill bar a few miles back, bit that s a separate thread), his recommendation to go with high-end 88s was right on. It is nice to know my amp can handle the 120s without breaking a sweat thought! I can see me in one year telling my wife that "the light bulbs need replacing on my amps..." and getting 12 matched KT-120s just to see how they sound. Or maybe I swap the 88s for Tom's 120s over a weekend. I have one more thing to play with in the setup. But the 88s do sound ice... and at only 10% throttle!
