Picnic Table for the Shop
« on: July 17, 2012, 10:42:48 PM »
Greetings!

I recently completed a project at my house.  I have an ample surplus of Wolmanized 2" X 6" lumber to build a picnic table for the Vintage HiFi shop.  Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the power tools to do this project.  I am willing to donate the lumber if somebody or somebodys is willing to take on this task.  The 2" X 6" pieces are a little less than 8' long but I'm sure these would make a great table.  There are plenty of free plans on the web.  So who can contribute some time, tools and some nails for this project?  I am thinking the table should look like this:

Who's up to the challenge?

Regards,

Carl

I think so.  The rectangular table is an easy build.  If we have an ambitious carpenter, I might have enough wood for an octogon table.

If you can build it with 2" X 6" Wolmanized lumber, I think that I have enough wood, but not the skill.

Who is up for the build?  Can we make it happen Saturday with a group effort?

Where's Shape Shifter (Ed)?  He is good with wood but scare me with electrostats.  No offense Sparky!! :P

Hi Shawn!

This is great news!  Tom will have to clean out his van (no small task).  Pick up the wood at my place after a few beers and some tunes.  We'll keep you posted. 8)
