WTB: suitcase record player
« on: December 03, 2013, 03:47:05 PM »
I am in need of a nice suitcase record player for my 12 year old niece with the attached speakers.  Working condition.  This will be a Christmas present.  Let me know what you have or any leads.  I have cash and a whole lot of cool stuff to trade.  Thank you, Nick

How about an old Califone like they used to use in schools?   I have a lead on one of those.

I have a later 1950's portable High Fidelity all speed record player for sale.
Sells for over $200 on Ebay and it does work.

I appreciate the replies, but this is for a 12 year old girl and Crosley makes a new version for $69.  That is the one I am leaning toward but was hoping to find one for $25-35.  Thank you, Nick

I will do $30 on it because its for a kid.
be forwarned, it will need recapped and there is a ground short that will give you several volts through the tonearm, found that out the hard way.
she isnt pretty, but she's got class and vintage style..

Merry Christmas, niece!   I'm guessing the Crosley is the way to go.
