Need to rent/borrow recording Mic
« on: January 31, 2014, 10:32:58 AM »
Hi guys,

I am looking for a specific microphone to track guitars with, and I am pulling on every medium I can to to try to obtain one for a few days in march.  I am looking for a Royer 121 Ribbon mic.  I know this is an extremely high end/professional mic that anyone should be cautious about renting.  But I can assure this will be used solely in a professional environment where only the highest level of caution will be used.  I am also willing to put a deposit down on it to alleviate any risk the owner has.  If you have one or know anyone who has one please contact me,  I really appreciate it.  Thank you

I believe my buddy has one.  I'll give him a call tomorrow and see if he does.

Thanx for the replies guys.  I was at PNS last night interestingly enough.  No luck on a Royer from them..  But I have dropped a line to red penguin rentals and hopefully they will get back to me.  Cheers

totally forgot about calling my buddy.  shoot me a text and remind me.  not sure a royer is really what you're looking for (at least in my opinion), but i'll see what i can do.
