Grabbed this quite reasonably last week.  May just be too nice to rip the amp out, I have grown a liking to these things lately.  Actually works without even servicing yet.

Congrats on the stellar find.  These units have nice amplifiers. 

Very nice console!  If you have the room the console is a great looking piece of furniture.

I have a solution.

Buy a cheapo T-amp from Parts Express. Use it in the console in place of the 9300.

Yank the 9300 and resto mod the sucker. That's too good of an amp to be left in that coffin with those lousy Maggotbox drivers.

I saw a dealer at the New York Audio show last year who is building new consoles with audiophile speakers designed for the cabinets, CD player, streaming media player, tuner and new tube integrated.  He will build to your furniture specs.

Lot's of console collectors and re-builders out there!

Dicky redid a Columbia that turned out fantastic. He built a mono adapter and used an old android smartphone with a power adapter internally to stream his entire music server through the console.

There's a huge console scene out there. Just, for me, I'd rather resto-mod those magnificent Magnavox amps.
