For Sale Original Bob Carver Cherry 180/260's

Also up for sale is this pair of Bob Carver Cherry 180's. These have the KT 120 tubes in them which make them the 260 version now. They are wonderful amps and are the version Bob made before Carver LLC spun up and before the Emotive deal. This means they are the original version with point to point wiring and nice transformers, which is what you want.

I simply have too much stuff and need to thin the herd. Condition is excellent, there are two small chips in the paint that were there when the original owner received them. This is near the transformer cover if you look at the pics. You don't even notice them unless I point them out

It's been really really tough deciding what to keep. I have 8 systems up and running and I really only listen to 3 of them so I figured it was time to pare down. At the end of the day, I like 300b tubes and the way they sound. I also really like these amps and the baby black beauty's. I think the Carver amps deliver better bass and the 300b's have a magical sweet spot in the mids....It's not even an apples to apples comparison, it's more like apples and oranges.

The AN amps I run sound great on the horn systems but sound like crap on Khorns. The Carver amps sound great on the Klipsch's and really good on the horns, I think they probably are more versatile and will match with a wider range of speakers than the AN amps.  i know what you are thinking and the answer is, you just have to hear those mids on the 300b.
