Adcom GTP350 pre left channel cutting out

GraphicFX:
Problem with my Adcom gtp350 preamp

left channel is cutting out from time to time. A light tap on the chassis usually gets things balanced. I thought I isolated the problem as a dirty volume pot, but now it seems that "jiggling" any button on the front panel fixes the problem... temporarily.

Anyone have any input as to what the culprit is? and is it a cheap fix.

Thanx in advance.

Turn off your stereo's and get some sunshine fercryinoutloud

Get a can of Deoxit from Radio Shack and clean all the pots and switches.  That will probably fix it.  If not, could be a loose connnection or bad solder joint on the front panel.

My bet would be a weak solder joint if the pots are clean.  If I were to put a price on fixing it,  I would charge no less than four bottles of 60 minute IPA,  forum member price.  Three if you drink one with me.

Pardon my ignorance, what is IPA, and yes, I would gladly partake.
