A large percentage of my Facebook friends are trumpeters. Many are pros. CT certainly had a huge influence on all of us. If you never listened to The Happy Horns of Clark Terry I highly recommend it. I'm listening to it again for the millionth time. I can't listen to the LP as I don't have a functioning turntable but it does sound great on Tidal hifi setting.

Looked over his Wiki page and I will be spinning the CD "Ellington at Newport' and also 'Bemsha Swing ' from Monk's Brilliant
Corners (on vinyl)  tonight.  Mr. Terry was a sideman on both
