A friend from work have me a junk Marantz to see if it could be salvaged. Sadly it's not worth repairing so it's on the bay listed as a parts unit. The upside is that it was pretty clean and has the original box and manual so it's actually garnering b respectable ids.
Anyways, Inside the box were a few other items like brochures, and spec sheets. These 2 records were among the extras in the box.
One is a recordio which appears to be from 1944. These recordable records were made at amusement parks and other venues. We tried to play it but didn't have a 78 needle. Music could barely be heard. The surface is interesting - you can tell it wasn't pressed. The other record was a 45 single from Christopher Barrett on "bit-o-pitt" records. It features "Home in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania" and "Many a moment"
Certainly not a goldmine find but still interesting.
