2nd zone cheat with my PAS2
« on: May 16, 2015, 11:33:28 PM »
OK So it's kinda lame I guess but I was happy to find I could use the tape out on my PAS2 and run it over to an emotiva mini x that I use to drive my patio speakers. I don't even need the pas powered on which is nice.  I haven't tried the TT yet but imagine I'd need to turn on the pas if I want to play vinyl outside but other sources seem fine.

I also have split off to the "aux in" on a Tivoli One which I use for sound inside and out. I got the Tivoli for my wife as a Christmas gift and it is a damn fine piece.

Are you loosing any gain when splitting the signal?

Not that I can hear but this is just for casual listening anyway.

The Tivoli is a mono unit but it can really fill the room. Do you think it could harm the output circuit on the source by splitting the signal?

I bought one of the Tivoli 1 radios in black when they first came out with them. Great sounding radio especially for its size.

I picked up the clock radio version in an estate sale.  Added a sub for the hell of it and was impressed with the sound
