Onkyo Integra M-588f & M-388f Power Amp & Preamp $2400

Offered for your consideration is this RARE and exclusive matched set of Onkyo Integra M-588F power amp and P-388F preamp. With fully balanced, audiophile grade components (with RCA’s also) these exceptional units were designed by Onkyo to satisfy the high end audio market and they are seldom seen offered together for sale. This Integra line is built for the audio purist, with the best quality parts chosen for their contribution to sonic excellence and designed with extreme attention to detail…then housed in sturdily built chassis (the preamp weights 19.6 lbs/8.9 kg and the power amp 65.3 lbs/29.6 kg). I really want to try to sell these units together as a set.
The P-388F and the M-588F were produced for 10-12 years and were ONKYO’s top-of-the-line separate components. Many say that ONKYO design peaked with these units. If you are not aware of the reputations of these two devices, I urge you to Google and read. Here are some useful links:

The P-388F Preamp has many "purist" audio features and electronic components, computer controlled volume and input switching, super low noise independent power transformers, XLR inputs and output, machined RCA jacks...and a superb MM / MC audio section.
The M-588F amp power output is rated at 200w RMS with .005% THD in 8 ohms and 360w RMS at 4 ohms, with a dynamic power of 290w RMS at 8ohms, 505w RMS at 4 ohms and 750w RMS at 2ohms!!! XLR and machined RCA jacks inputs, A/B speaker selector, switchable on/off meters....
They come both with original manuals, two original ONKYO XLR cables, original remote control, and 3 vintage Onkyo brochures. They come from a smoke free / pet free home.
Why would I sell these after looking so long and hard to find them??? My living situation has changed and it requires a complete downsizing of my listening system. I purchased a different P-388F years ago to go with a power amp by Bryston, and sold it to get a Bryston preamp and regretted it greatly. The ONKYO is just so musically involving and I LOVE the phono section.
Due to a recent local move, I cannot at this time give auditions at my place. For serious inquiries, I am happy to transport to your Western PA location for you to audition. I will try to sell locally for a while before posting on eBay.
