JBL L100s
« on: February 01, 2016, 02:40:21 PM »
I'm looking for a decent pair of JBL L100's. Trying to re-live my youth. Does anyone know of a pair for sale?

Interesting. I bought a new pair around 1974. My older son has them now and they still sound great, at least for rock. Not the best for jazz or classical.

They are great for anything after the x-over mod.   It really makes them world class.

They're still bass reflex, not my choice for classical or jazz

papabearjew, let me know if your son has any interest in selling them. I have seen them pop up on CL occasionally but they are often over priced and many states away.

No way. He loves them. I bought them new. I'd never let him sell them. They're not in his main system anymore but in his spare room (man cave)

a bunch of nice sounding stuff. Nice that I'm finally able to actually listen to file music for the first time...

Jim,
Around '74 I bought the JBL L100s and a Marantz 2325 with the wood cabinet. As I recall I bought both at Cameradio. I think I bought my Thorens TD-160 there also but a little earlier.

JBL PRX-712s for sale 1500 watts each still under warranty - cost 900 each - these are pro top line.  Asking  1400 for the pair. Still have one year warranty on them - both in new - barely used condition.

FYI you should delete this post and start a new thread. It's an old thread and not even about the same speakers.
