I will put this preamp up against anything, yes anything, up to $1500 on the new/used market. Simply an incredible sounding preamp. It is ugly, but isn't it all about the sound? This is not the production Terra Song that sold for $1200 (I think), the first 20 or so were hand built by the designer David Brinkley (who later designed Essence audio preamps that sold for $10k+). These first, hand built models were spare no expense parts and labor. He used pure silver wire and included a phono stage (MM) that is not on the production model. The phono stage competes with anything you can buy for $500. Everybody tells me they are looking for a preamp, well he is your chance to own one of the best.
