Aikido Noval Tube Preamp - $400
« on: April 12, 2018, 08:22:08 AM »
Freeing up a little room and giving VintageHiFi members first opportunity to buy.

Up for sale is a very unique and wonderful sounding tube preamp.  This preamp has 4 inputs and one output.  It has the ability to select output capacitors via a knob on the front panel.  You can run bank one, bank two, or both banks in parallel.  This gives you the ability to tune corner frequency based on your amp’s input impedance.  In addition to rolling tubes, this also gives you the ability to roll in your favorite caps.

The volume control is three switch stepped attenuator providing 36 incremental steps in -2dB increments.  You have volume control for left and right and a center knob that controls both channels.  Uses 1% Vishay Dale resistors.

This preamp can use just about any 9 pin tube.  It currently has a pair of 6CG7 input tubes and 6DJ8 output tubes.  As long as the inputs are the same, and the outputs are the same, any 9 pin tube will work.  The only exceptions are that 12B4 and 5687 tubes cannot be used.

There’s a separate switch for tube heaters and B+.

This is a great sounding preamp.  It’s quiet, musical, and, for the price, you can’t go wrong.  Tubes included.  I will include a pair of iFi NOS 5670 (6922) tubes for an additional $60.

PRICE - $400
LOCATION – Franklin, PA 16323
