Raconteurs
« on: March 02, 2010, 01:02:43 AM »
Any fans of the Raconteurs? I heard a song recently on the X that sounded just like the Raconteurs. I just googled "raconteurs new cd" and got nothing. Does anyone know if they have a new cd set to be released? If not, maybe you heard the same song and know who the artist is. If you are a Raconteurs fan you would know what I am talking about if you heard it... I'm dying to know.

I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

With a little sleuthing I found that The Raconteurs vocalist Jack White and bassist Jack Lawrence formed The Dead Weather in 2009.

Maybe it was something from the new endeavour that you heard?

Not sure if that's the band or not. Regardless it's great music. I'm gonna have to go out and buy that cd today.

Got the Dead Weather cd. It is the band I was searching for.  If you are a fan of Jack White you will like it. it's not going to win any awards for sound quality, but it's got a great garage band sound.

The mystery has been solved! I thought they were pretty good also.
They have a good selection of videos and such on their site.

"Treat Me Like Your Mother" got my attention.

Crazy ass movie magic automatic weapon gunfight.
You can see puffs of dust from rounds that hit the ground, and body shots perforate front to back.
As he is stumbling away, you can see traces of sunlight streaming through the bullet holes in his body.
Nice effect!

Should I be worried that I like this?

That's why I like it, but then again, I'm a little sick. I've never worried about it before. I don't see any reason to start now. 8)
