Sony PS-X555ES tracking force 0.5-2.2g only possible...

...... instead of default 0.5-2.5g

Potentiometer is checked and not faulty. Both display indicator and real weight show the same.

Anybody knows what's wrong?

Do you have the add on extra weight installed at the back of the tonearm?

Are you running the factory cart or something aftermarket?   Perhaps the original was lighter?

Yes but it used to be like this since several years and it was fine until now.

Various but it happens on every cart I put on.
