As many of you know I've been struggling with getting my file music to sound decent enough to listen to instead of using it for back ground noise. I've recently tried a Mytek Brooklyn and a Phison DAC in addition to the Peachtree, IFI, a few Schitts lol etc. in the past, and they all sounded pretty bad (to my ears). I ended up buying a Rockna Wavelight DAC along with a Roon Nucleus with a Teddy Pardo power supply and it made ALL the difference. Music is now very nearly as good as my turntable! I truly believe that the main issue was using a computer (two different laptops and a normal computer) as the source. Even CD quality files sound surprisingly good, while DSD/ dsf files sound amazing.
