Nice!!
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Good to see someone doing something about this kind of crap.  However, Indiana is taking them to court over misleading and deceiving consumers.  You would think that the "TAX MAN" would be more interested as I am almost certain they ain't collectin no taxes!! Maybe paying it on the buying end, but not on the selling side!?!?!? >:( >:(

Just blows my mind that people still get scammed by this. I figured it would be common knowledge by now.

I actually ran into some of these guys in Monroeville the other day.  They wanted me to buy some 'extra system' that never got installed.  I told them to pound salt.

Actually, I think there used to be a warehouse in Export that sent these folks around.  I followed some guys back to the place 15 or so years ago.  They were selling Omniaudio at the time, which they brought into my house and we hooked up to my stereo.  All drivers worked and they were LOUD with piercing highs, though my first impression convinced me to spend $100 FOR A PAIR.  Quickly tired of them and sold them for what I paid to a guy who is still using them and loves them.

Hey, what can I say, I have bought Bose too. ::)
