My system/listening space
« on: April 02, 2010, 08:27:13 PM »
Currently, the system I have going is...
Carver CT-24 Preamp/tuner
Carver TFM-35 Amp
Sony DVP-C650D CD/DVD
Technics SL-1400 LP
Denon DRW-840 Cass.
Polk Audio Monitor 7B
Very happy with the setup at the moment, although I am always on the lookout for turntables.   8)  The Polks are just really warm speakers.  Great sound, and haven't had problem 1 with them.
The setup:

May be seeing some of you at the shop tomorrow!

And by the way - yes, you're all invited over for  brews at the bar!

Looks like a nice place to jam!!
I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Yep, I like it!  The Slayer pics on the wall are "flats" that I got from a record shop I worked at back in the day (early 90s).  Still have a bunch of them actually.  They're basically the album art, without the LPs.  We used them for decorating the store, and I ended up with a bunch of them.   :D

Nice setup.  I unfortunately would need about 3 of the Ikea racks for my LPS.  I've heard a lot of people on other forums like them for album storage as well.  However, ain't no Ikea in CNY, and I don't want to pay a boat load to ship the damn things, so, I'll wait until I am on a road trip somewhere and scope it out.
