Tuner dial string
« on: November 28, 2009, 02:15:59 AM »
I have a Kenwood KR-6050 receiver, the tuner dial string is missing, does anyone know how to replace these. I have no clue how it goes. Or where to get a new string.
I would like to get this one fixed, I am currently putting on a new wood veneer cabinet, and it will be in minty condition if I can fix the tuner.
 Any help would be appreciated.

Thank's,
Mike

Hello mike, I am not familiar with that receiver however just about any string may work for you (fishing line) or something that won't stretch much. Usually you have a spring on one end for tension. A little trial and error will get you going, or maybe someone will have the service manual with a dial cord picture in it.
