Old JVC Receiver

My friend has a JVC model R-X220B receiver which is having tuner problems...  The digital readout is "stuck" at 87.5 FM and will not move/tune...  If you try to seek or tune, nothing happens...  Might this be a QUICK fix or does this sound like a major problem?
