I am confident that an SL-1200 is capable of outperforming turntables of much higher expense with minor modification.

Sibelius "The Seven Symphonies ". A cassette collection (thanks Carl) of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Colin Davis cond. Recorded in 1977 which is kind of cool as that's the year I got married.

If Marty Robbins had grown up listening to The Beatles, this is the album he would have made.

Horowitz in London - LP RCA Red Seal. Concert set up by prince Charles. May 1982 (released '83). Horowitz flew to London from NY in the Concorde to avoid jet lag. Asked everyone to stand at the beginning and because his 1st selection was God Save the Queen. Then some Chopin and Shumann follows, ends with Scriabin. Includes an interview with Horowitz in an inner sleeve "eva-tone soundsheet" 10" disc. Sounds nice enough that I recorded it to r2r. Thanks Mark!
