Currently listening to The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Jazz Impressions of Japan, LP, Columbia - allegedly Mono but sounds very stereo to me.

@OBGJ. I listen to a lot of trumpet/flugelhorn music. Jazz, classical & Chicago etc...
I can't wait for my surgeon to let me play trumpet again though it will be a long while if at all. Other than playing taps I know I'll never be able to perform again.

That Dave Brubeck album is stereo. It's marked, in English, on the front cover...twice!

@PBJ - That is an internet sourced picture of the record,  not the actual cover of my record.  Mine is marked mono on the label attached to the wax,  in English and Spanish.  I think the label on the actual record is a more reliable source of the possible truth, don't you?    I think it several tracks are stereo though,  or Sonic holography is doing some magic that makes it sound stereo (but I have listened to mono albums on this setup many times and they sound dead centered).  I think it is mislabeled.

When can I pop by to look at your RTR?

This is why stereo gear needs a mono button.   Or else record, invert one channel and fold.   If it is mono, it will all but disappear.

Funny to see CM  Feels so Good mentioned... had not pulled that one out for a long time until yesterday... forgot how good of a recording/ album it is.   I think it's one of those albums that got overplayed and thus my aversion.   Papabear looks like he's been rocking out a bit   lol

Yep, my wife, who I met 39 years ago today, is finally getting sick of watching Law & Order reruns so I can listen to music all day without headphones ( most of the time).  I'm going through my vinyl collection A-Z. Amazingly my wife really liked King Crimson, In The Court Of The Crimson King!  One of my all time favorites since buying the LP new back in the day.
