All the PACCOM caps must come out. They are the 90's equivalent to Sanyo caps in the 70's. They fail.

You gotta order the caps? Is this the 1'st one I gave you at Carverfest? Think that's what made the channel go out?? ???

One down, one to go. These must be early caps. Test way within spec. Much better than the ones in the Sunfire subs.

As much hell as I'm going to catch for this one... The coolest thing about a Carver Lightstar is the name Lightstar.
Don't get me wrong, I remember how the Lightstar sounded with the Snell B's at the old shop. It was the one of the best sounding things I'd ever heard up to that time. Probably my favorite Carver SS amp.
In my yinzer accent: "Ey, yinz jagoffs leave 'em good caps alone!"

Plate amp is still on back burner. Bias problem won't go away. It even has the Bob Father baffled.

OK...concentrate on the OTHER Lightstar!!! Keep me informed...P.S....remember the push pad on the front was iffy...see if you can fix that! :-*

Last time I saw the Lightstar, it was splayed open.
