Title: dynaco and audio research
Post by: Slim-Shaddy on September 11, 2010, 06:19:58 PM
Dynaco st-70. Just picked it up today from NATOE who rebuilt it. Sounds and looks great, just doesn't give me the volume I want.  - $500

Audio research PH-3 tube phono pre. Just tried it out and it sounds very quiet and distorted. Maybe tubes? I don't know. No longer for sale

Per Tom's advice the phono pre is off the market. Dynaco is still available.

Now that I have Carl's sub producing 40hz and below, and the dynaco is only doing 40 and above, I am getting alot more gain and it sounds great. I' going to leave it up for sale, but I am going to ad the Nakamichi PA-5 for $350. I'll keep whichever doesn't sell.

Turns out all the PH3 needed was a toggle switch and a tube... woohoo. Here are a pic of the st70 still up for grabs.
