Title: tonecrest console stereo parts FREE!
Post by: non-prophet on May 26, 2017, 02:32:57 PM
I picked this console up for the amp.  The preamp/tuner section (tube) is available, complete set of speakers 15" and 4" woofers with 2x6" horn tweeters (pairs).  The turntable  (probably a basic gerrard).  Pm me quick, i am scrapping very soon and all of this is just more metal to add.

I'll take the drivers when I see you tomorrow.   No interest in the tuner or table (though if there are any useful tube types in the tuner...)

They are yours.

I wanted the amp, but, the tubes are the score.  A quad of Siemens germany el84, a pair of rca 12ax7 and i looked quickly at the pre and saw made in holland on one tube.  All tubes were labeled ultratone if i remember correctly.

Nice amp Nick!  Siemens EL84 output tubes with a nice preamp using some 12AX7 signal tubes should be a good match for the right speakers.  Near field listening with some BBC LS 3/5 Rogers or Spendors speakers.  OBG would like that configuration.
