Does anybody in the area do amp tune-ups? My 710 works fine, but is operating on all original componentry. It's due for a tune up. I'm looking for someone to check it inside and out and repair any faulty caps, resistors, etc. to keep it running for another 30 years. There is a guy on epay from cleveland charging $185. http://cgi.ebay.com/Sansui-Au-717-Professional-Repair-Upgrade-Service_W0QQitemZ260508609509QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ca785ebe5 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Sansui-Au-717-Professional-Repair-Upgrade-Service_W0QQitemZ260508609509QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ca785ebe5)
With shipping I'll be into the 240s. I'd rather not spend that much. let me know if you can do it or know someone who can. Thx...

Doy ou have a service manual with a parts list?

No sir, but I'm sure I can get one in pdf. It's the same thing as the 717.

This one is a treat to work on. Here is a link to one being done correctly, a lot of work.

Follow the pages at the bottom, it is really cool how good this guy is. I keep trying, hoping to be as good someday, I am getting there slowly.

Mike

WOW!!! That is one detailed mofo! Do you know if he does tune-up jobs?

If you click on here for his main page, there is a link to contact him, I think he is way backed up. But, I have never seen anyone else get this detailed. Look at some of the others he has done, crazy...

I'm going to shoot him an email. I'm glad he's backed up... I bet he charges a ton, but it appears well worth it!! this is a great little amp, and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. It'll be worth it to bring it back to new!
