AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, ONE OF OUR OWN, HAS BEEN GOING THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES WITH MEDICAL ISSUES. IN AN ATTEMPT TO HELP OUT OUR FRIEND, AND HIS FAMILY, WE ARE ACCEPTING CASH AND STEREO EQUIPMENT DONATIONS. THE EQUIPMENT WILL BE AUCTIONED OFF THIS SATURDAY EVENING. SOME CASH HAS ALREADY BEEN DONATED. SEVERAL PIECES OF EQUIPMENT HAVE ALSO BEEN DONATED. OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $600-$800 TO HELP WITH MEDICATION COSTS AND EVEN UTILITIES. PERSONAL PAYPAL DONATIONS ARE ALSO BEING ACCEPTED. CALL OR EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. *** SINCE IT APPEARS THE WEATHER WILL BE NICE, WE WILL BE SERVING SMOKED CHICKEN, HAM AND BACON. BRING A SIDE DISH IF YOU CAN. GEEK MEETING STARTS AT 2PM.

I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH OUR DEAR FRIENDS WIFE. OUR FRIEND IS BACK IN THE HOSPITAL AND NOT DOING VERY WELL. I SENT HER THE MONEY COLLECTED SO FAR, AND TOLD HER THAT MORE WILL BE COMING SOON. SHE WAS UNAWARE THAT WE WERE DOING THIS, AND IT BROUGHT HER TO TEARS. SHE ALSO WANTED ME TO PASS ALONG A THANK YOU FOR THE HELP.

Hal and I would like to donate a few things to the auction. Really sorry to hear about Mike, just talked to him day before yesterday. We will see you this week with 4 nice units,
1. Marantz model 27 receiver
2. HK 430i Receiver
3. Yamaha M35 Amp
4. Sherwood S7200 receiver.
All nice pieces and operating well. The Sherwood power switch is broken, but I just put it on a power strip. None will embarass the winner if put on display, all very nice looking.
