Title: BIC 980 Turntable: Maintenance and Repair
Post by: swestenzweig on March 31, 2011, 11:08:06 AM
I have inherited a BIC 980 turntable that was my grandfathers. The turntable was kept in excellent condition until his passing, but has been in storage for a number of years since. I fired up the turntable and it does power up, but the platter does not engage. A complete novice as to maintenance and repair on a unit like this, I would much rather leave the unit in capable hands than fiddle on my own.

Any recommendations on who could do the work locally?
