Title: AKG 701 or 702 headphones????
Post by: bmwr75 on July 08, 2010, 11:26:03 AM
Does anyone local to Pittsburgh have either of these they would let me borrow for a day or two?  I got the fever to purchase them, but don't want to spend $250 and find out they are not for me.

I am meticulous with my stuff, so will take very good care of them.

Regards,
Scott

Decided on the 702s.......because they are not white like the 701s.  Gave them an initial listen and they sound very good.

My friend Adam has 702's. He's made attempts to attend the last two meetings, but it didn't work out. I'll try to drag him and his 702's this saturday.

Yeah that would be me. I got the 702 because the 701's look like crap with the white or off white color. If you are a cabel guy the 701's are easier to customize. I am fine with the stock but I kinda want the coiled replacement cord which is like 25 bucks and snaps right in. Aside from that and a few bucks on the price they are the same.
