I know you guys don't like pro equipment but I saw another crown PS400 and the guy didn't want to break up his rig so for an extra 100 bucks I got his whole rig.
I wired my main system into the mixer as well
I have alot of parties, things get pretty loud so it gives me "manual overide" for those that have no respect for my equipment and ignore the ioc clipping led's.
Anyway those little radio shack speakers really sing with the Crown PS 400 and the BBE 362 sound maximizer. The Pioneer Elite VSX 95 handles the surround info wired as a Hafler circuit into a sweet pair of linaeum tweets.
Having full control of every aspect of the two systems through the mixer console is nice. The buttons and sliders are huge and built for abuse.
I've been spending alot of time spinning CD's old school. I never had a high end CD player before. I don't know how good this Gemini CD player is, but I'm hearing alot of stuff that my old pioneer changer never produced. I guess thats good.
Have a nice day fellas
I'll post when the next party is on and yes, drunk women everywhere!

I think it looks great! I'm sure you will enjoy it! Hell...you already got pussy in the bed with it!!!!! :P :P :P

I personally like this kind of wacky combination of equipment to produce good sound. At the end of the day what matters is how good it sounds when you are lying there spinning CDs. And those Linaeum tweeters are classics.
I had a few beers at McFadden's Pub on Sunday before the game and could not help gawking at the console the DJ used to mix the signals fed to way-too-many EV PA speakers. It sounded decent - but maybe it was the beers.

Alcohol is my favorite "tweak"! 8)

I have to say it does sound really good. it has a "mini" club sound going.
My intentions were not to assemble another system. but when you have all that extra dj gear who could resist
Anyone recommend a decent cheap mike?
that sound processor (BBE 362) is quite the magic box. The company claims it restores the phase shifts lost somewhere bla bla bla. To me it awakens my speakers. i tried it in line with my 901's. bad idea.... sounded aweful. both with the bose eq and without it.
I have no previous experience with mixers and the like... its fun and really adds flexibility to my systems and again gives me the "override factor" which when others take liberties with my 530 watt crowns; it's a real plus.
Much fun and thanx for your replies
It's always fun to hear you guy's opinions on stuff.
Thanksgiving already?

Love those PS-400 amps!

I know you do Rev.
You are the one who started me on this crown addiction
i now own 3 PS-400's and 1 PS-200.
These things are venerable beasts not to mention, they sound pretty darn good.

Looks excellent.
"Pro" equipment can be great. I have a couple pro preamps that are very good. The only downside is when I add them in some place, there is that extra step with the 1/4 plugs to whatever conversion, but that is easy and cheap. Mine don't have the XLR.
