I've got a SVS PB-12 powered subwoofer that's been used primarily for audio. Those of you who know me and have been to my place no how I treat equipment. This monster was gently used. I upgradeded the original driver with the NSD driver after it was released maybe two or three years now. This driver is what SVS has in their current models. It has the BASH amp 375 or 425 watts, I can't remember. It is the downfiring box, internal adjustable crossover, gain control, auto on/off (adjustable) weighs about 85 lbs. This is an awesome sub. Actually, it can be a frightening piece of equipment. Enough punch to rattle just about anything inside the house including the outside gutters. My camera is not working right now, so now pictures :'(
I'm asking $300, no box. I will bring it to the Audio Geek meet if there is an interested buyer.

Carl you are no good for my addiction!! :o :D
-
LOL! I am doing strictly 2 channel in my audio room and the SVS is just too big for just music. My wife is glad I don't use this for HT anymore. The thunderous bass would scare my young daughter into tears. I had the gain set to about 10:00 and 3 dB hot on the receiver. It has plenty to offer the bass adrenaline junkies! :o :o

Jesus Carl, that's a frickin' steal for that Sub. I can't believe you're selling it. :o
Are you sure you want to ? ???

Yeah Bill, I have some sentimental value to this piece. I'm just not using it and I want someone who appreciates quality and thunderous bass to make this big box thunder. You are right this is priced to sell. I think these subs, new, with shipping go for close to $700.
-
I would love to hear it Carl. Hope you bring it down to the meeting this week. I have not heard an SVS sub yet.
-
I'm going to bump this to the top again. I wish someone from our community would buy this. I'd hate to sell it on Craigslist.
-
That is a very decent price for that sub. Is it the black finish?
-
Black matte. It's not the piano black gloss finish. Sorry, I don't have pictures as my camera is acting up. The sub is in excellent condition.
-
Please bring it to the next meeting :o
-
Carl I'll take you up on this if its still available. I'm out of town at the moment but will be back this weekend.
-
Sounds good! Give me a shout when you get back home. We'll talk about logistics. Have a safe trip.
Regards,
Carl

And I offered you a great deal on my Sunfire and you go and make another deal with Carl. >:(
-
I am not angry any more. :) I am happy now because I have two Sunfire True subs! :o
-
This doesn't mean that i dont want the sunfire. I need a sub for my ht and one for my 2 channel tube system. :)

AL, That Sub is going to be awesome. Congrats Sir.
-
Carl,
Thanks for your hospitality Saturday evening; I enjoyed our visit and
It was a pleasure chatting with your Wife and children as well.
Although it was no surprise, your system is just superb. Thanks for auditioning it!
I must say that you guys are corrupting me. I was warned, and as expected I am being pulled in...
Anyways Here's a few pics of the Behemoth I picked up from Carl.
It is going to be a challenge finding somewhere to put this in my living room, but I must to figure
something out or my wife may give me the Lorena Bobbitt treatment.
I tried telling her that it is "Not even 50% larger than the old one".
She's not buying what I'm trying to lay down.
-
The sub looks great! I'm SURE she will have no problem!!! :P :P :P
-
Looks great Al!
Thanks for stopping by and your kind words on my system. We enjoyed your visit. That sub was wonderful for me. Please let me know if you have any problems.
Regards,
Carl

Very cool Al. It looks to be blocking almost half of your doorway into the living room. LOL
-
Al, you are getting to be an audiophile.. :o :o :o

You are gonna wish you took the blue pill! :D

Turn it sideways. You can even peel the SVS sticker off and stick it on the side. It falls off every two months anyways. This may give you more doorway clearance. I doubt that it will affect any sonics. Lookin' good Al!
-
Yep, I had aleady turned it sideways earlier today. I just snapped a few pics last night before heading to bed. My wife commented that she did not like the fact that the rear panel wires and controls were visible in that configuration, but agreed that it is less obstructive that way.
It is not going anywhere though; this sub is quite impressive.
I may have to run the sunfire in the LR and use the svs in the front
Room with the dynaco.
-
I'm glad you enjoy it Al. I too was quite impressed with it. It was just way too much sub for me in my system. My neighbor told me once that his wife always sent him outside to smoke. He could always tell when I was watching a movie because the gutters on my house would vibrate.
-
MB, you need to bring it to the "meeting"! :o
-
I'll try, but I already returned the forklift I rented to get it into the house. :P

That's just way too awesome to hear Carl. I love hearing stories like that. ;D
Congrats on getting that Sub from Carl, AL. 8)

The blue pill makes your audio system bigger!! Just ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall! LOL!
