I was able to procure the last Melos piece I needed for the complete system. The Melos SHA/Gold headphone amp. I personally do not use nor own a decent pair of headphones, but, once locked into a serious audio collection the tendency is to take it as far as you can. Since it will only be eye candy in my setup, it will probably be on loan at the new Vintage HiFi of Pittsburgh for all you headphone guys to enjoy or demo. Its a tube hybrid, pure class A circuitry, supposedly one of the best headphone amps ever made. It should be there for Tom's first event after opening the doors, when that will be, who knows. But, until then here are some pictures.
The set up, all in black with gold (Melos' top of the line*):
Melos MA-333 Music Director preamp*
Melos MA-333r Phono*
Melos MAX3r DAC*
Melos SHA/Gold headphone amp*
Melos CD Drive cd player (Still looking for a CDD-2 cd transport)

Congrats Nick!
The piece has a good size transformer, and a ton of inputs. Does it have a phono input? Are those 6922 (6DJ8) tubes?

Real nice piece...congrats!

Great job tracking that stuff down. Amazing.
Does that thing have a remote option? I see what appears to be small motors on the backside of the controls.

Very Nice!

6922 tubes. Yes, remote but was not included. No phono, line level only.
