Title: my babies
Post by: papabearjew on October 31, 2013, 12:44:38 PM
This is three of my 4 RTR decks.  Left to right:  TEAC A-1230 (bought new 02/22/72), ReVox A77mkIV, ReVox B77.
I also have an Akai GX-370D which is massive.  About 60 lbs and 20" tall.  It got pulled out of rotation when I got the B77 due to it's size.  Sure wish I could figure out where to put it.  It's my favorite deck for 7" reels as it is great with suspect tapes.  It's the easiest deck of all of my decks to clean.  Plus it has the GX heads.  I thought I had a spot for it next to my turntable, but the spot is 1/2" to short.  That really sucks.  I'm thinking of taking the large rubber feet off the deck and replace them with smaller ones so it will fit.  Crap.  I did all of this typing and it won't let me add a photograph.  I thought it would be under "Attachments and other options" but it's not.  Could it be because I'm using a 10 year old HP laptop running Windows XP.  Any suggestions

Create a photobucket account if you don't already have one. Load the pics there, then post the  "IMG" links to the thread.

They sure complicate things?  How's the Nak deck working out?

Currently recording my first tape on it. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Sir Thrifty...guess we forgot.  BJ's been busy and I haven't been feeling too well.
