Hi, my name is Karl, I'm new and I believe I may become an addict to this.
I just started not to long ago with a pair of old 80's Sony speakers my dad gave me and a shitty pioneer early 90s thing that sounds crappy.. I picked up a Marantz 2226B not to long ago and hooked them up to the Sony SS-U660 speakers which I suppose are not to be so great but the Marantz makes them sound pretty good.
Well I look forward in learning much more and picking up new equipment and starting lil bit of a collection of good stuff. And look forward in making some new friends here
:)

Welcome.... prepare to shake the dust off of your wallet if your going to dig into this passion lol

Welcome aboard! Fair warning... It is a very slippery slope. Every time I hear a system and hear something that I don't hear in my own system I try to think of how to get that gain without losing anything from before. Upgradeitis is a not a curable condition but it is a fun one! :P

Hiya!
Welcome aboard, lots of helpful people around here, both in info and gear. I do have to agree with the previous comments; the ball started rolling when I decided to get a simple turntable to add to my modest system, 8 months later I have more stuff than I know what to do with and am still looking to upgrade....

Hiya Karl
Welcome to the forum.
First off; DON'T DO IT. Go back to what you were doing before you fired up the marantz
